Trip to lake salvador

Hi guys heading to lake Salvador this afternoon, looking for some suggested areas to try for reds and specks noticed nw winds at 8, high tide at 6:14 any guidance will help and be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I heard through the grapevine that they are catching reds in Salvador just across from the mouth of Gulf Canal.

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the hind end of poachers and may their arms be too short to scratch!!

Ended up not going, both my fishing buddies bailed gonna try today. Where is the gulf canal?
