Crabbing in Lake Des Allemands
« on: Jul 19, 2018, 8:16 AM »
I made 3 trips in the past months for crabs. I was using drop nets with chicken necks as bait. I was fishing the mouth of Bayou Des Allemands into the Lake. With the thousands of traps in the Lake, I still caught a full ice chest of crabs each time I went. This is a banner year for crabs in the Lake.
Catch and keep enough to eat in one day and release the rest. Sooooo you can go back tomorrow.
